Not enough jobs for medical students

Medical training is difficult, tiring, and sometimes unpleasant. During the day you deal with pompous consultants, stroppy juniors, and shouting nurses; then at night you settle down to read textbooks. Not much of a life, but in the UK at least you are guaranteed a job when you’ve graduated. Not any more though.
