摘要
In this research, the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) modified Al sol is coated on the AlSl304 steel to resist the oxidation etching by espousing to the air at 900℃. Compared with the substrate, the coated sample demonstrates the superior oxidation resistance indicated by the decreasing mass gain. Meanwhile, the generated oxide layer exhibits the features of dense, continuous and no flaking, which suppresses the inward diffusion of the O atoms. In the virtue of the PVA-Al sol film, the beneficial anti-oxidation (Cr, Al)2O3 and the Fe3O4 phase are derived and the general detrimental Fe-rich hematite phase is avoided.
