Abstract In general, circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) is generated by a chiral luminophore, that is, chiral structures and chiral packing styles are essential for organic and organometallic luminophores to exhibit CPL properties. However, it is difficult to introduce a chiral structure into inorganic and metal‐cluster luminophores. In this minireview, we have reported magnetic circularly polarized luminescence (MCPL) systems. Upon the application of an external magnetic field, achiral and racemic luminophores too can exhibit MCPL. Such MCPL systems are beneficial for developing versatile CPL systems from various luminophores, which could prospectively cover a wide range of UV‐visible‐near‐infrared regions.
