Electrochemically Tunable Vinyl C–H Sulfonylationand Tandem Vinyl C–H Sulfonylation/ N -AlkylOxygenation in Enaminones toward Vinyl Sulfones

An electrochemical operation has been developed for the direct sulfonylation of the vinyl C-H bond in enaminones for the synthesis of α-sulfonyl enaminones, which has not been previously realized by any other catalytic method. In addition to the direct vinyl α-C-H sulfonylation, the functionalization of both the vinyl α-C-H and the N-alkyl C-H bonds has been achieved by modifying the electrochemical conditions, leading to the synthesis of another class of new α-C-H sulfonyl enamides with water as the oxygen source.
