Objective To analysis of effecfs ultrasound-guided microwave ablation(MWA) of liver metastases. Methods 50 cases of liver metastases were from our hospital inpatients(befween May 2010 and May 2012),clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation therapy was analyed. Results Completed ablation was achieved in 103(91.2%) of 113 nodules.Local recurrence was observed in 8(7.8%) of the 103 nodules treated successfully. No major complications occurred. The 1 and 2 year overall survival rates after the first ablationwere 82.0% and 66.0%.Conclusion MWA is a safe and effective method for patients with liver metastases.
