The influence of concentration and temperature on the corrosion rates of carbon steel in sulfuric acid, hydrogen fluoride and the mixed acid were studied by linear polarization method. The results showed that the corrosion rates of carbon steel were higher in the mixed acid, and in 70% H_2SO_4+20% HF was most serious.Rp of the carbon steel in both sulfuric acid and hydrogen fluoride decreased with the increased temperature, and the concentration of sulfuric acid had a greater effect on the corrosion of carbon steel.
