Progress on application research of lignin in adhesive

The structure, classification and properties, and modification of lignin were summarized in this paper. The progress on application research of lignin in adhesives including the lignin adhesive, phenolic formaldehyde adhesive, urea formaldehyde adhesive, melamine formaldehyde adhesive, epoxy resin adhesive and polyurethanes adhesive was reviewed. And the general trend of research for application of lignin in adhesives was also presented.
