Influence of Polyether Polyols From Different Synthesis Processes on Performance of Polyurethane Elastomers

The polyurethane prepolymers were synthesized by reaction using low unsaturation polyether polyol DL-1000D and KOH-catalyzed polyether polyol DL-1000 with TDI-80 respectively.The process performance of prepolymers synthesized from two different polyether polyols,the stability of prepolymers,the mechanical properties and abrasion resistance of the polyurethane elastomer articles prepared therefrom were compared.The results show that the process performance and stability of the two prepolymers are equivalent.The mechanical properties of the polyurethane elastomer prepared from the former prepolymer are higher about 10% than that of the latter,and its abrasion resistance according to Akron abrasion test is higher about 17.6%.
