An experimental study on the application of desulfurization gypsum and natural gypsum

The tests on the cement paste blended with natural gypsum and desulfurization gypsum were carried out.The experimental results show that the expansion rate of the component increases a lot after blending the gypsum,and the expansion rate of desulfurization gypsum in water is greater than that of the natural gypwum.The flexural and compressive strength of desulfurization gypsum are significantly higher than that of natural gypsum with the increase of the blended gypsum,and the effect is more obvious when being kept in the dry environment,which illustrates that desulfurization gypsum can completely take the place of gypsum to save the recourses.The test results provide the reliable theoretical and technological reference for the extensive use of gypsum in the future.
