Interventions to prevent surgical site infection in adults undergoing cardiac surgery

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: Primary objective To assess the clinical effectiveness of pre‐, intra‐, and postoperative interventions in the prevention of cardiac SSI. Secondary objectives To evaluate the effects of SSI prevention interventions on morbidity, mortality, and resource use. To evaluate the effects of SSI prevention care bundles on morbidity, mortality, and resource use.
