New Facile Syntheses of Monolignols Glucosides; p- Glucocoumaryl Alcohol, Coniferin and Syringin

New procedure for synthesizing the monolignol glucosides p-glucocoumaryl alcohol, coniferin and syringin from the corresponding acetylglucocinnamic acid ester in good yield. Reduction of the esters to alcohols and removal of the protecting group (deacetylation) were achieved in one step with diisobutylaluminium hydride (DIBAL-H)
