摘要
We fabricated a periodic silicon carbide (SiC) nanoparticle array embedded in a flexible polymer that is applicable as a metasurface sticker to stick to any clean surface to control light. Because of the elasticity of the sticker, the resonances can be tuned by mechanical deformations. Photoluminescence enhancement was demonstrated by placing it on the top of the phosphor plate (yttrium aluminum garnet doped with Ce3+). Compared to the bare plate, the photoluminescence intensity through the sticker was enhanced up to about ten times. This value is two times higher than that using the TiO2 metasurface sticker with the identical design. We further demonstrate the steering of photoluminescence by deforming the sticker. The present results manifest SiC as an important component of the mechanically reconfigurable metasurface.
