摘要
Based on the combined use of high-resolution NCEP-FNL reanalysis data and meteorological observations,spatial-temporal features of atmospheric ducts over Chinese regional seas are statistically analyzed.Statistical information of occurrence probability,height,thickness and strength of the ducts are outlined in detail,and its generation mechanism is primarily discussed.The results are summarized as follows: first,there exists a close relationship between variance of appearance probability and type of the ducts and eastern Asia monsoon activity,second,coastal zones along the Bohai Sea,the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea have a distinct high occurrence probability during summer;and third,the maximal occurrence probability locates the Taiwan Strait and the sea area southeast to Taiwan Island.Further careful study on the ducts needs to employ powerful meso-scale atmospheric numerical modeling.
