摘要
The kinetics of steam reforming of methanol, catalyzed by a commercial Cu-Zn catalyst, have been studied using a CSTR reactor. The decomposition of methanol appeared to be the rate determining step of the process. A Langmuir-Hinshelwood model was used for the description of the experimental data. Negligible amounts of carbon monoxide were present in the reaction products, in agreement with the attainment of gas shift equilibrium after methanol decomposition.
