Institutional Hegemony of the USA and the International Economic Institutions:Taking the Case of IMF as an Example

In the post-Cold War era,the traditional power hegemony of the USA has been replaced by institutional hegemony gradually. As an important international economic institution in charge of international financial system,IMF has been brought into the institutional hegemony strategy of the USA. With formal or implicit power,the USA infiltrates and dominates IMF,making it a powerful tool of maintaining and consolidating the American hegemony.
