Electrophilic hydrophosphonylation of aldimines with alkylphosphonochloridates provides access to (E)-alk-1-enylphosphonamidates

Both linear and cyclic aldimines are electrophilically hydrophosphonylated with alkylphosphonochloridates in the presence of base to directly afford α,β-unsaturated ( E )-alkenylphosphonamidates with excellent stereoselectivity.
