Acanthamoeba Keratitis

A 41-year-old woman who wore soft contact lenses presented with pain, blurry vision, and sensitivity to light in her left eye. Cultures of corneal scrapings grew Acanthamoeba polyphaga, and a diagnosis of acanthamoeba keratitis was made.
