摘要
Optimizing excitation to improve the performance of multiple simultaneous receive beam is of great significance in the overlapped subarray architecture. In this letter, a method based on alternative sequential convex programming is proposed. Beginning with the influence of excitation of superarray and subarray on the array pattern, the sidelobes close to and away from the main lobe are discussed. Then, a sequential convex programming is adopted to address the nonconvex constraints based on alternative optimization framework. Through the above-mentioned steps, excitation of subarrays and superarrays is optimized to fit desired multiple beam range and minimize peak sidelobe level. Numerical examples in different situations are reported to verify the effectiveness of this method.
