Toluene solutions of star-shaped fullerene-containing poly(styrenes) with additional addends were studied by the method of photoluminescence. It was shown that maxima in the photoluminescence spectra shift to shorter wavelengths compared to the spectrum of a toluene solution of C 60 fullerene. It was demonstrated that the magnitude of this shift is determined by the quantity of opened double bonds and is associated with the redistribution of electron density on fullerene. An additional shift related to the attachment of addends to the carbons of fullerene which are adjacent to the main chains of polystyrene is affected by the nature of the used addend and the acceptor properties of a fullerene core.
