Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) is a technique based on atomic spectroscopy for the analysis of the elementary composition and concentration of materials. With the development of laser technique and optical detection technique,LIBS has become a focus in the spectrometric field.Particularly in recent years,LIBS technique develops very quickly. There emerge many new excitation and detection techniques of LIBS.At the aspect of plasma excitation;there are femtosecond-LIBS,filamentation LIBS,and dual pulse LIBS.At the aspect of spectral detection;there are time-resolved LIBS and polarization-resolved LIBS.This paper gives a review of these new LIBS techniques.
