Due to the property of line impedance and other factors in microgrid, reactive power supplied by distributed generation units could not be shared in accordance with their voltage droop gains. By analyzing the relationship between reactive power and amplitude of load voltage, amplitude of load voltage as the reference is introduced in droop control and theoretical basis for control parameters design is provided by small signal stability analysis. Simulation results show that reactive power sharing among DGs is significantly improved and the proposed scheme is still effective even if the droop gains are small. In addition, the proposed reactive control method has little impact on active power sharing among DGs.
