Research Progresses in Pathophysiological Roles of Urotensin II in Plasma of Bronchial Asthma Patients

As one of the common disease in respiratory system,bronchial asthma is the chronic airway inflammatory disease which involved by a variety of cells and cell components.Its pathogenesis is not entirely clear.With the increasing knowledge about pathophysiology and inflammatory phenotype of asthma,the theory that a number of factors involved in the pathogenesis of asthma is also gradually being confirmed in practice.Urotensin II may be one of the factors which involved in the pathogenesis of asthma and play an important biological effect.This article reviewed the effects of urotensin II on pathophysiologic effects of bronchial asthma in brief.
