PROBE INTO CONTROL MEASURES OF MULTI-DRUG RESISTANT ACINETOBACTER BAUMANNII IN ICU

Objective To explore the control measures of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in ICU. Methods Epidemiological survey of environment and 12 cases of Acinetobacter baumannii nosocomial infections from December 2011 to January 2012 in ICU. Results The ward environment and ventilator pollution were main causes of Acinetobacter baumannii infection outbreak. Conclusion Improving the medical staff hand hygiene and disinfection of the ward environment will cut off the transmission way of Acinetobacter baumannii in ICU.
