Objective:Analysis of the relations between subclinical thyroid gland hypofunction and atherosclerosis. Methods:The 123 patients are divided into:the control group of 40 cases, the subclinical thyroid gland hypofunction group of 45 cases and the clinical thyroid gland hypofunction group of 38 cases;these three groups will be studied by terms of blood fat,(H)CRP(hypersensitive creative protein) and IMT respectively. Results:TC and LDL-C shown in the subclinical thyroid gland hypofunction group are significantly higher than the control group(P0.05),but is not remarkably different from the clinical thyroid gland hypofunction group(P0.05);while CRP and IMT tested in both the subclinical thyroid gland hypofunction group and the clinical thyroid gland hypofunction group are higher than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Subclinical thyroid gland hypofunction which triggers and expedites atherosclerosis is an independent risk factor of atherosclerosis.
