How Useful Is Coronary CT Angiogram (CCTA) In Elderly Patients

Introduction: Advance age is associated with increased coronary calcification and thereby limit the diagnostic accuracy of CCTA. However, emerging data suggest patients without prognostic obstructive coronary disease can be managed medically. We evaluated the utility of CTCA in the assessment of prognostic disease in patients ≥70 years old.
