摘要
This study aimed to develop ergonomic block patterns for athleisure pants that reflect the body characteristics and desired compression levels of older women within the age range of 55 to 69. The patternmaking process, introduced in this study, utilized advanced 3D technologies, such as 3D body morphing and 3D surface flattening, to capture age-related physical changes. Six prototypes with varying pattern reduction rates (R0–R5) were developed and evaluated for wearability. The results highlighted key interactions between wearability factors – i.e., pressure, fit, appearance, and mobility and their relevance to daily life usage. R3 (a mid-high level of pattern reduction) was identified as the most preferred option, achieving the highest scores across these factors. This study contributes to the contemporary apparel market by promoting athleisure products with ergonomic fit and user satisfaction that encourage older adults to engage in physical activities with confidence, thereby improving their health and quality of life.
