摘要
Abstract Industrial electrification is an important way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address the issue of renewable energy consumption. Using coal-to-ethylene glycol as an example, the methodology and techno-economic analysis of integrating renewable energy sources with the chemical industry are examined. The findings demonstrate that if electricity prices decline, a reconfiguring electrification process for coal-to-ethylene glycol that uses renewable energy can lower CO 2 emissions by 90.88%, boost energy efficiency by 2.21%, and result in cost savings. The electrification reconstruction in chemical industry can aid in the energy transition.
