摘要
To address the issues of excessive delays at urban arterial bottleneck intersections during saturation states, spillover of road section queues, and the need for routine manual intervention in signal control measures, an optimization method for arterial signal control based on historical signal light color data is proposed. This method designs an optimization process for peak hour division, public cycle optimization, phase time allocation, and timing plan verification for single-point simulation of manual control, as well as a calculation method for arterial coordinated phase difference based on queuing equilibrium and flow cutting. The case study focuses on the signal optimization of Beijing East Road in Nanchang during peak hours. Compared with the current control scheme, the signal control plan optimized using the method in this paper significantly reduced the manual control time during peak hours on Beijing East Road, and reduced the average congestion index of the arterial road in both directions by 19%, and the average delay time by 16%. The method, based on practical experience of manual operation and combined with traffic signal control theory, achieves optimization of signal control schemes for saturated arterial roads, effectively solving practical problems such as routine manual control at intersections and queue overflow.
