In clinical practice, wound treatment continues to be a significant concern. The wound healing process is intricate and continuous. Hemostasis is the initial stage and the primary variables influencing wound healing include bacterial infection and oxidative stress. To tackle these issues, a novel hydrogel dressing was constructed, composed of chitosan hydrochloride (CSCl), hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), glucose and resveratrol nanoemulsion (RES-NE). The innovative RES-NE loaded chitosan hydrogel (RN-CH) features controllable gelation time, rapid self-healing property, appropriate injectability, and strong tissue adhesion ability. Additionally, it exhibits excellent biocompatibility, antioxidant property, antibacterial activity, and significant hemostasis capability. Pharmacodynamic experiments reveal that RN-CH can effectively promote full-thickness wounds healing by modulating inflammation, mitigating oxidative stress, and facilitating early angiogenesis and collagen formation.
