摘要
In this paper brake performance is studied under varying brake pressure. This brake pressure depends upon the pedal ratio. Along with theoretical analysis software like ANSYS is used to determine the sustainability of the disc under varying load that are obtained by varying force applied on pedal and pedal ratios. A brake is a mechanical device that hinders movement by retaining kinetic energy from a moving component. It is utilized for halting a moving vehicle, wheel, tire, disc or to keep its movement, regularly achieved by means of friction. The parts involved in the braking system are simple but the performance of these brakes greatly varies with slight variations involved in it. Though there are many factors that vary the performance of brakes initially the variations can be done at brake pedal level. The proper selection of the pedal ratio is important for the brake performance. This importance of this small part is the concept of this paper. The importance of this part is described and its effects are detailed in this paper.
