摘要
The europium and dysprosium doped strontium aluminate nanoparticles with chemical formula (SrAl2O4: Eu3+, Dy3+) was synthesized by solution combustion method. The structural study carried via X-ray diffraction technique revealed the sample to be single phased in nature and was found to have crystalized into the monoclinic phase with the space group P 21 /n. The lattice parameters were calculated which witness the single phase sample formation. In addition the sample is crystalline in nature with average crystallite size about 39 nm. The sample formation was witnessed via the Fourier Transform Infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopic technique via the display of characteristic absorption bands of the aluminate. The sample was also subjected to the bandgap study using UV-Vis spectroscopic characterization technique and the data analysis revealed the band gap to be 4.47eV. The photoluminescence study revealed the three glow peaks using excitation wave length λex = 393nm, two corresponding to Eu3+ and one corresponding to Dy3+. The peaks are intense and lie in the visible range.
