TiO_2 nanotubes photocatalysts were successfully prepared by atmospheric hydrothermal method with titania and NaOH as the sources.The materials were further characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),etc.Its antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus and bacillus subtilis was investigated by the qualitative inhibition zone method.Furthermore,its photocatalytic activity was also evaluated by the degradation of methyl orange solution.The results show that the product possesses anatase phase with clear structure and uniform shape.The as-prepared TiO_2 nanotubes have good antibacterial properties and the degradation ratio of methyl orange reaches 84.840%after irradiation for 90 min.
