Cultural difference is one of the major factors resulting in failure in cross-cultural communication and cross-cultural management.Hofstede's theory of cultural dimensions is of importance in analyzing differences between cultures. The theory consists of five dimensions: individualism/collectivism,power distance, uncertainty avoidance,masculinity/femininity,and long run orientation. An analysis of these five dimensions from the angle of cross-cultural management is discussed in this paper.
