Additives for organic electrolyte used in Li-ion battery

Much research focuses on additives for organic electrolyte used in Li ion battery in recent years. The general characteristics of additives for organic electrolyte used in Li ion battery are introduced. The state of arts of research on additives for organic electrolyte used in Li ion battery are also reviewed from the point of view of the additive that is mainly used to improve the performance of SEI film on electrode, the conductivity of electrolyte, the over charge protection, the battery safety and to control the content of acid and water in electrolyte respectively. The functional mechanism, characteristic and research status of application of each additive are discussed emphtically while their advantages and disadvantages are evaluated properly.
