Foreign ions,such as Cl-,SO2-4,and others,can influence the complex kinetics of sulfur compounds electrochemical systems. Using an airtight reference electrode(homemade reversible hydrogen electrode) instead of open reference electrode(such as saturated calomel electrode,etc.),can avoid the reference electrode bringing foreign ions. Through comparing open circuit potential stability of the saturated calomel electrode and homemade reversible hydrogen electrode,it can get that reversible hydrogen electrode had good stability in sulfur compounds electrochemical system, open circuit potential drift in 12 h was less than ± 10 mV,which can be better used in studying the complex electrochemical oscillation system dynamics of sulfur compounds.
