Oxaliplatin Combined with 5-Fluorouracil for Advanced Gastric Carcinoma:a Report of 42 Cases

Objective To evaluate the short term activity and toxicity of chemotherapy of Oxaliplatin(L-OHP) combined with 5-Fluorouracil(5-FU) for advanced gastric carcinoma.Methods Forty two cases with advanced gastric cancer(including 20 cases of initial treatment and 22 cases of recurrent) were treated with L-OHP,calcium folinate(CF),5-FU 500,ivgtt,dl-5.Cycles repeated every 21 days,and 3~4 cycles were delivered for each patient.Results The overall effective rate was 59.5%(25/42).The effective rate for initial cases and recurrent cases were 65%(13/20) and 40.9%(9/22) respectively.Conclusions Oxaliplatin combined with 5-Fluorouracil/CF has a good tolerance and efficacy for advanced gastric cancer.
