Since the concept of AIE bio-conjugates was put forward, a series of biomedical applications have also been developed. So far, many AIE bio-conjugates have been successfully used in in vitro sensing, in vivo imaging, and therapy. AIE bio-conjugates could combine the functions of AIE probes and biomolecules, making these more conducive and compatible with biomedical applications than individual AIE molecules and AIE nanoparticles. This chapter is divided into four sections based on the application of AIE bio-conjugates in biomedicine. The first part introduces the commonly used reaction for AIE bio-conjugation, the second part introduces the biosensing of targets dispersed in the detection medium, the third part introduces the live cell dynamic imaging of the target, and the fourth part introduces the in vivo imaging of the target and the image-guided therapy. In addition, this chapter discusses the prospects for future research of AIE bio-conjugates for biomedical applications.
