A novel alkaloid, hinckdentine-A, isolated from the marine bryozoan Hincksinoflustra denticulata , has been shown to have structure (1). Hinckdentine-A, isolated from the marine bryozoan Hincksinoflustra denticulata , has been shown by spectral analysis and X-ray crystallography to have the structure and stereochemistry as in (1).
