Electrolyte additives for enhancing safety of lithium-ion batteries

Electrolyte,as an important part of lithium-ion rechargeable battery,had influence on the battery performances.Much research focused on additives for organic electrolyte used in lithium-ion battery in resent years.The additives used for the over charge protection and the battery safety from all the lithium-ion rechargeable battery electrolyte additives were introduced.The functional mechanism,characteristic and research status of several additives for protecting overcharge and for improving safety were discussed emphatically while their advantages and disadvantages were evaluated properly.
