摘要
Conventional carbon steel pipelines no longer meet the high-pressure, corrosive production needs of the ocean due to their poor corrosion resistance.Bimetallic composite pipes are an effective solution to pipeline corrosion. Regular pigging operations are necessary to maintain pipeline efficiency and lifespan. Bend sections are common in pipeline transportation and prone to blockages. This study focuses on the increasing complexity from straight pipes to bends and investigates the mechanical performance of bimetallic pipes with weld seams and bends during pigging operations through simulation. Contact stress increases with greater pigging interference and pressure differentials, and decreases with larger bend angles. Friction and wear tests were conducted to assess wear patterns in Inconel 825 alloy caused by varying pigging interferences.
