摘要
P restige and status are instrumental in shaping the American university. Alumni compete for social status on the basis of the prestige of the universities they attended; faculty base their status on the prestige of the university at which they are employed; and administrators often believe that increasing the prestige of their university will necessarily improve its value. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
