M 2 SiO 4 : Tb 3+ , Mn 2+ , Nd 3+ (M = Mg 2+ , Ca 2+ , Sr 2+ , and Ba 2+ ) phosphors suitable for near-ultraviolet-violet radiation excitation were successfully prepared at 1400 °C in N 2 atmosphere by a high-temperature solid-state reaction, and their phase compositions and luminescent performance were also studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence spectra. Results show that their emission intensity increases in the order of Ca 2 SiO 4 > Mg 2 SiO 4 > Sr 2 SiO 4 > Ba 2 SiO 4 matrix phosphor. Ca 1.94 SiO 4 : 0.02Tb 3 + , 0.02Mn 2+ , 0.02Nd 2+ phosphor exhibits the best luminescence performance.
