Processing, Properties and Standards of Structural Wood-based Panels in Foreign Countries

This paper reviewed the general level of research and production of the structural wood-based panel industry in foreign countries. The primary varieties of structural panels were evaluated including glued-laminated timber, laminated veneer lumber(LVL),parallel strand lumber, laminated strands lumber, TTS wood I Section, thick plywood and OSB. The areas that were reviewed were: their definition, processing, properties and relevant standards.
