Action of crystal seeds in the synthetic system of zeolite L

The adding ways of crystal seeds, the crystal seed of zeolite L and other seeds in preparation of zeolite L were researched. The results show that the best way of adding seeds is firstly to disperse seeds into solution and then make the solution mix with the gel of aluminosilicate. Zeolite L seeds can increase the producing rate of zeolite L and restrain production of other zeolites. In the system of 2.65 K_2O∶Al_2O_3∶10 SiO_2:(100～120)H_2O or in the system of 2.65 (K_2O+Na_2O)∶Al_2O_3∶10 SiO_2∶162 H_2O and n(K_2O)∶n(K_2O+Na_2O) equal to 0.55～0.70, the zeolite W contaminant is easily produced. When zeolite L seeds are added into these systems, the pure zeolite L can be prepared. When other crystal seeds are added to the synthetic system of zeolite L, the producing speed of zeolite L will decrease, while the relative content of zeolite W will increase.
