Advances in CYP3A4 over-expressed cell models and their application to drug metabolism research

Cytochrome P450 3A4(CYP3A4),one of cytochrome P450 enzymes family,is involved in metabolism and interaction of various compounds,and a key target for drug screening and metabolism research.This article tries to review the development of CYP3A4 over-expressed cellular models,and their application in drug metabolism and drug-drug interaction in chronological sequence.The aim is to introduce the valuable models to research on new drugs.
