Control of wettability on ZnO thin film

The rough ZnO thin film was prepared by one-step electrodeposition technique on indium tin oxide(ITO) substrate. Many irregular and petal-like microcystals in the range of 0. 4-0. 7 μm was obtained on the ZnO surface. The control of wettability on ZnO thin film was achieved by UV illumination. After UV light illumination,ZnO surface exhibited a contact angle(CA)of 4. 8° changing from original 133. 2°,indicating a su-per-hydrophilicity. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) pattern was obtained to approve the ZnO on the thin film. The morphology of ZnO surface was observed with Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM). CA was measured with a Contact Angle System.
