摘要
As a kind of sensor normally with extremely strong directivity, radar is highly vulnerable to main-lobe jamming (MLJ) signal. In this paper, a radar MLJ cancellation method is proposed via virtual array optimization inspired waveform design. The main contributions are as follows: 1) The spatial resolution limitation of traditional spatial cancellation method is analyzed, and a MLJ cancellation method based on phase-coded (PC) waveform is proposed, which can make the Signal of Interest (SOI) and the MLJ signal distinguishable in a higher dimension. 2) The detailed mechanism is analyzed for how the different virtual arrays will generate for receiving the SOI and the MLJ signal, and a PC waveform design scheme is thus proposed, transforming the complicated waveform design problem under multiple constraints into a mature array optimization problem. 3) The mechanism of virtual array generation has been verified through simulation, the proposed MLJ cancellation method has also been validated through experiment, which proves that the proposed method can simultaneously achieve effective suppression of MLJ signal while retaining the SOI, and improve performance in multi-target detection.
