Design methodological investigation into fatigue strength for large-scale welded drum of main shiplift hoister

In this study,the loading and stress distribution features of drum structure are speculated for main hoister of steel-rope-winding vertical shiplift.By applying domestic and international design specifications on metal structural fatigue strength,the drum structure fatigue properties are analyzed on existing shiplifts.Based on this notion,a fatigue strength computational method is postulated for large-scale welded drum structures.
