Taurine condensation salicylaldehyde Schiff base(1) was synthesized by the condensation recaction of salicylaldehyde and taurine in the methanol solution.Reduced Schiff base(2) was obtained by the reduction of 1 by sodium borohydride.The structures were characterized by 1H NMR,IR and elemental analysis.The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that 2 belongs to monoclinic,space group P21/c with a=10.787 4(12) ,b=8.989 7(10) ,c=11.098 3(13) ,β=103.180(2)°,V=1 047.9(2) 3,Z=4,Dc=1.466 g·cm-3,μ=0.303 mm-1,F(000)=488,R1=0.032 0,wR2=0.080 9.The fluorescence properties of 1 and 2 were investigated by fluorescence.The results indicated the λmax(FL) lies in 500 nm and 430 nm for 1 and 2,respectively.Also,the full emission of 1 lies 480 nm~560 nm.1 is a green luminous monomer.
