Powertrain mechanism of bulldozers; Bulldozer no powertrain gaiyo

A general bulldozer is a crawler tractor that has a blade in front part of the tractor and does works of dozing and leveling ground. In this paper, structures and functions of the bulldozers are introduced specially focusing at its powertrain. The bulldozer can do many kinds of operations such as to doze and to level ground, to excavate, to drive, to winch, to rip etc. Dozing is the most general operation of the bulldozer and it is mainly repeat motion of traveling forward and backward. While it travels forward, it works at slow speed and continues a severe and a high load operation, so a strong power and a durability are important factors for the powertrain. Furthermore, recently comfortable working conditions of operator and easy operation of the bulldozers are required and stepless hydraulic drive powertrains that were introduced to a small sized bulldozer are diversified. At last, attentions to design of the bulldozers are introduced from the viewpoints of functions, strong power and durability of the bulldozers. 7 figs.
